Magadheera || Close to the heart movie

Image
Magadheera - a close to the heart movie, not because of the content but because of the experience it gave. Storywise, it is a fantasy movie about rebirth and revenge over a span of 400 years. But it became an industry hit only because of the screenplay and direction topped with mindblowing CG works and mesmerizing music. The movie was released on 30th July 2009 but I got to watch by 1st January 2010 during my new year trip to Bangalore. We were about to watch Avatar but forgot to prebook so were left with no tickets. One of our friends suggested Magadheera as an alternative. When I heard that it was released by July itself, I was hesitant to watch an old movie on new year’s day that too a Telugu movie, but two things made me watch it. Firstly, if a movie can have a long run in another state then definitely it must be worth watching. Secondly, as a Superstar fan, I always cherished his friends in other industries, so as I heard that the hero of the movie is Ramcharan, son of Megastar Ch

How far can you go for your love? || The White Masai - True story

The most striking question posed on the people who are fallen in love is “ How far can you go for your love? “ And at times we may get sarcastic replies like heroes going for their ladylove to America or Allepy can only be seen in Gautam Vasudev Menon’s movies, taking the literal meaning of the question. On that note, a true story has happened but here to our wonder, a ladylove has flapped her wings sans borders, language, culture for the love she had grown for her man. The name of the movie is “The White Masai”, one of the most impactful movies I have seen and would like to share my experiences. Since I use to stay alone at night times I do watch TV and will fall asleep as the TV is on. At times I used to wake up around 3.30 A.M or 4 A.M and will not feel sleepy. So I used to watch TV and will fall asleep again. One such day, I suddenly woke up around 3.45 A.M and was not feeling sleepy at all. I was switching between the channels and that is when suddenly I saw a scene in a movie whe

I am that kind of person who has grown watching cinemas and many movies that I have watched have created a huge impact on me. Movies are the biggest entertainments of my life and beyond that, I have learned a lot of things through movies. Be it psychological, philosophical, or factual I have gained a lot of insights from the flicks. Dasavatharam is one flick which got released on 13 June 2008, if have released earlier in around March month of that year could have secured me a service in UPSC possibly. I would like to share a small interesting narration about it. In the year 2008, I was selected for the UPSC interview in the month of April and that was my first UPSC interview after two attempts in civil services. The chairman of my interview board was none other than Mr. Balagurusamy, the ‘OOPS’ man who authored the famous book called Object-Oriented Programming with C++ which is the bible of software engineers of those times. Interestingly, it was his first time too as an interviewer f

Astitva meaning identity is one of many films that had created a deep impact on me, especially the climax, about which I would like to share in this article. The movie is a bilingual movie released in both Hindi and Marathi languages in the year 2000. Sachin Khedekar plays the male lead while the main lead is the female character played by Tabu. It also casts Mohnish Bahl, Sunil Barve, Namrata Shirodkar, etc. The movie is written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The movie deals with the intensity of relationships and its pros and cons as created by the situations and circumstances. A party is being celebrated on the occasion of the arrival of a family friend during which a courier comes in the name of the wife. The husband receives the courier and opens to find a will reading that the entire property of an old musician is transferred to the name of the wife. This leaves everyone conf
