Negatives of hitting a gym || Fun facts



In the previous article, I shared my experience of positive gains we acquire through gymming. But apart from losing a few pounds of weight, there are a few other things we gonna lose. Let me list out them which are really a serious issue.


First and foremost is the sympathy that people going to show on you on losing your weight. It is the same set of folks who would have given you a thousand pieces of advice on shredding out the extra flesh. When you proudly turn up in front of them after a quiet transformation expecting praises and applauses, all is what you are going to get is their pity.


When the same happened to me I was really confused about whether to continue my workouts or to quit abruptly. People will really make you feel as if you have ended up as a pauper starving for food. But later we realized that it is not the pity what they are showing but in reality they were jealous of our transformation. It may sound overconfident but the majority’s behavior has raised this thought. Or this is how we convinced ourselves when we were shown sympathy.


The second issue on losing weight is seeing your wardrobe going waste. I am that kind of person who purchases new outfits then and there as I like them because I fear that I may not find similar ones later when I really want them. But I will not wear them immediately and will wait for occasions to wear them. So one can find a set of new attires in my wardrobe always.


But when suddenly you lose weight you will be frustrated to know that your daily wears are now too big to fit your size. What more paining will be the new outfits you are yet to wear will be so loose. You might think that why it is a problem when the dresses can be altered. But you will realize the issue when you cannot find a perfect tailor who can alter your attires into an exact fit. You have to run from shops to shops to get this right. At times I even have felt that either the gym should have its own tailor to alter their client’s outfits or we ourselves should learn tailoring which will be even more useful.


Last but not least to which many will agree is the wastage of the stock of the old selfies in your smartphone. Yes. As you lose weight automatically your face and look will also transform to which you will fall in love with and when suddenly you look into your old pictures you will be startled to know that how alien you look to the present form. It will be totally a different person altogether and how hard you try to remember that old face you will fail in it.


And we all know the theory behind selfies. To get a perfect selfie one must have tried at least 120 clicks i.e, the actual maximum I have heard but in reality, it may be more than that. A person like me who will not change the profile picture often will store a pile of selfies for later use. In that case, suddenly you will feel that you are out of pictures to upload and it is the problem that is well understood by the social media actives. 


After reading the above issues at last you must have found that this post is a fun post. But jokes apart these issues are something really worrisome because I and my friends always have enough discussions over it for hours together. These are just fun facts but I would again insist that make fitness your lifestyle because health is wealth.
